mission

Solstice

Tom Callemin calls himself a visual artist, but to others he's a visionary photographer. Utterly meticulous and an absolute perfectionist, he can spend months taking a single picture. His photographic experiments seek to expose that which is invisible to the naked eye. This image was taken on the longest day of the year. Aptly called 'Solstice', he transforms his camera into a makeshift sundial, capturing the sun in full rotation over a panoramic landscape - all 24 hours and 360 degrees.
